Hebrews 7:23-25
Now there have been many of those priests, since death prevented them from continuing in office; but because Jesus lives forever, he has a permanent priesthood. Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.

"he always lives to intercede" for me...

Hebrews 5:7-10
During the days of Jesus' life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with loud cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission. Although he was a son, he learned obedience from what he suffered and, once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him and was designated by God to be high priest in the order of Melchizedek.

~

the law was set aside because it was weak and useless to change us (Hebrews 7:18). it couldn't make us perfect... it couldn't perfect anything. BUT Jesus was MADE PERFECT through his submission, obediance, and suffering.

I wish i could follow fully in his footsteps, becoming perfect through reverent submission; however, He is in heaven, at the throne of grace interceding for me...living to intercede for me. Where i fall short of this lifestyle that brings perfection, Jesus stands in my place, taking my shame and giving me his pefection.

Good News?
