Galations 2:21

"I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!"

~ The grace of God is that we have been given the opportunity to once again establish unhindered relationship with the Father through Christ's death and the power/guidance of the Holy Spirit. It struck me this morning that even Jesus wasn't made righteous by fullfilling the law. In fact, it seems that Jesus, in pursuing his Fathers will, actually broke the law from time to time. Jesus wasn't made righteous through "the law", but through the relationship that he had (and has) with the Father and the Spirit. We are invited to find ourselves in the same boat, called righteous through our faith in God's grace and the love for Him that follows. ~

Galations 3:6

"Consider Abraham: "He believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness."

Stumbled upon your blog. You are so right about Jesus breaking the law in order to actually follow God. And Jesus was not the first (Abraham and Ezekiel) nor the last (Peter). This very thing was actually one of my first blog posts. In any case, I wanted to recommend a book to you. The title and cover are kinda ridiculous, but I promise you it is THE best book I have ever read on grace and truly being righteous. It is called "Destined to Reign" (see what i mean about the title, but surprisingly it is not actually charismatic). It talks about how the ONLY reason we are righteous is because of Jesus and there is no other way, nothing we can do to make it happen. It just is because He is. Ok, I look forward to reading more of your posts in the future.
